Principle is a comprehensive and fundamental law, doctrine, or
assumption.
My Principles towards to my teaching career is just to “Be yourself”
and “Attitude over skills”. Principles that will help me to grow and develop
as an individual with goals in mind and life. Principles that will guide me to
be a role model and an agent of change. Principles that will prepare me
before taking the battle. Principles that will set a clear objectives and
goals in my mind. And especially, Principles that will teach me to love and
be love teaching.
Be yourself, having this principle in mind reminds you always to
teach with heart and soul. Teaching is not just to teach, that will impart
knowledge. Teaching is more on loving and caring, in which learners will
know and feel that you’re not just teaching but you are after their feelings
to take good care of them and as well as loving them.
Be yourself is not just being true and honest with yourself but being a
peaceful one. In teaching, being yourself is a good sign inasmuch people
and learners will know who and what you are. Through this, learners will no
doubt about your lesson and as well as what are you talking or saying
about.
Attitude over skills, this principle should live into our minds. This will
guides us to be a good and effective teacher. Teaching is not just about
how good you are in delivering the lesson (but having this is a plus factor)
but still it’s all about your dedication, passion, love in teaching to deliver a
better one.
Attitude over skills will lighten and widen our minds, and broaden
our perspectives. In teaching, it is not enough that you just to teach and
teach and teach only but to teach with manner to be respect and be
respected.
Those Principles will help us a lot in our teaching career. Also those
Principles will give us light to choose the right way, the right thing to do
and to be done. Those Principles will enable us to connect and deal easily
with our learners. Those Principles should be reflected on. And those
Principles will lead us to reach for our goals in our teaching life.
