In FUSD’s Leadership
Development program,
Groups are used to share
videos and record literal
notes – thus calibrating
notes for supervision.

In 2014, Fresno Unified
launched “Professional
Learning Column V”
courses, all of which
require a Teaching
Channel sharing
component to
demonstrate the
knowledge gained in the
course!

Blended Learning: At the
end of Professional
Development sessions for
High School iPL, teachers
are directed to post their
products of the day for
others to comment on and
examine.

Blended Learning: Some
groups are using
“Resources” to create
folders for a curriculum
that can be commented on
and revised – all from
Teaching Channel!
COACHING
The Instructional Coaches
group is the MOST ACTIVE
group on Fresno’s Teach
Teams!
COACHING
Some groups are between
Coach and Mentee, others
between groups of
coaches.
There is no posting
requirement between
coaches and mentees,
which we hope Learning
Plans will help create a
process for.
COACHING
PLUS Teachers have been
trained this year to use
video for reflection on
teaching. Setting goals for
video observation is
important, then using
criteria to evaluate if
objectives were met!
COACHING
One thing Fresno Unified
did to prepare teachers for
the use of video for
coaching was to train them
to use the technology
using posters, hands-on
training including 4 hours
to practice taking,
extracting, and uploading
video.*
*FUSD chose to use Sony MV1 video recorders, so could not use the TCH Recorder app.
COLLABORATION
Teachers are using groups
more often for sharing
files between each other
and replacing email as a
repository of attachments.
