Some of our favorite memories with friends and family involve food, not because of the food but because of the fellowship that came with it. God also emphasizes the importance of eating together—it’s a vital part of living His Word together.
In the Bible, we often see the abundant grace of God, and we often think that these are given to us unconditionally, but we do not know that God has many conditions, even far beyond our ability. So we will now discuss a few aspects, we can see from the following discussion that the psalms are mostly used to flatter the beauty, that so few conditions are mentioned. But we must not take this for granted and ignore the grace of God. In the following discussion, all the The conditions are written in red letters, so that we can know what God requires, so as to truly receive the blessings that God wants to give us.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. OSL Mission & Values
Our Mission:
Our Savior’s is a people forgiven in Christ whose mission is to proclaim Christ and
nurture faith that connects with everyday life.
Our Core Values shape how we live:
Worship
Service
Learning
Generosity
Community
Because we share “one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all”
(Eph. 4:5), we cherish opportunities to build up the one body of Christ through
fellowship, learning, service, and worship together.
3. OSL is YOUR church family …
God has blessed us in giving us what we need
and also a purpose to serve our neighbor … in
following this guidance we offer various
services, supports, and resources …
It is an exciting time to be a part of Our Savior’s community of faith. Together we are a strong congregation, and God has blessed us with many resources that support our mission ….
… Our Saviors is a people forgiven in Christ whose mission is to proclaim Christ and nurture faith that connects with everyday life. We live our mission in many ways -- the library, the gathering place, music, outreach, health care, transportation, meals, support group -- just a few examples -- I know you each have your own examples --- all of which serve to build up the body of Christ.
Together we are Our Savior’s, here for each other and for the mission God has entrusted to us. In this community of faith, we lift each other up, provide for each other’s needs,’ offer support, and so much more…
NOTE: Say nothing but show this slide that has a few pictures of our ministries…
Each of us describes Our Savior’s differently. It depends on how we’re connected to the church and what season f life we happen to be in. Yet all of what Our Savior’s is and does fits together like a puzzle to form a whole for the sake of our mission.
YOU are an important piece of that puzzle. Each of us has a role that is significant in our faith community.
Belonging to a community like Our Savior’s is priceless. The question we need to answer is: How do we make sure that our capacity for connecting faith with everyday life is sufficient to meet the ministry needs of the 21st century?
[NOTE: COULD WE ADD SOME PICTURES DEPICTING OSL ON THIS SLIDE WITH JUST THE WORDS BELONGS= PRICELESS. HELP JOSEF!]
PAUSE … For God ALL things are possible …
And we believe God is calling us to Mission Possible. This mission we are accepting is to retire our mortgage and create the capacity to grow the mission and ministry God has entrusted to us. Mission possible … so we can MAKE OUR mission possible!
Yes we have a plan … you can see it here … we know it can be done. It will take work and a commitment from each of us; remember, we’re all pieces of that puzzle. Let’s get this mortgage paid by OSL’s 75th Anniversary in 2021 so we can keep our focus where it needs to be – on our mission of connecting faith with everyday life.
NOTE: this slide still needs to be developed.
Thanks to your generosity … the interest on our debt mortgage is being paid through our annual operating budget. Mission Possible will pay off the mortgage principal; outside of the operating budget. By paying this debt by 2021 we will save $1.8 million dollars in interest! We owe it to ourselves, our children and grandchildren to handle this now. Since the interest is in the operating budget, EVERY DOLLAR RAISED by Mission Possible will reduce the mortgage debt.
Here are some examples of what is possible when our mortgage debt is paid and we have more resources for living our mission … (NOTE: there is where we will add a few testimonials about what we could do without the mortgage debt payment and maybe some pictures of word AND LET’S ADD WORDS THAT DESCRIBE WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING WOULD BE POSSIBILITIES)

Together, with God’s help, there isn’t anything we can’t achieve … let’s do this folks!!
We are this church together, and we ask that each of you prayerfully consider your role. Each of us is a valued piece of this faith community … together we are whole … ready to serve and be served!
Each of us has a role to play in making this mission possible: retiring our mortgage … and living out our mission …
