The BIG Cake Challenge is a baking competition that invites students to design an original cake with a healthy or savory twist. Students will first compete at their schools, and school winners will then compete against other students in the region at the regional heats. Regional winners will advance to the final, where expert judges will evaluate and taste the cakes live at The BIG Cake Show in March 2015. Participants will receive a certificate, and the overall winner will be awarded on stage at the show.

- 2. What is it all about? The BIG Cake Show are teaming up with some of the nation’s favourite baking stars to inspire budding bakers to show off their skills and knowledge at the region’s largest cake and baking show
- 3. What do you need to do? Design and make your take on ‘Cake – with a Healthy/Savoury Twist!’ • There will be entries from all over the South West • Your entry will be judged at school and winners will be invited to The BIG Cake Challenge regional heats
- 4. What happens at the regional heats? • The winner from each school will compete with other pupils from around the South West for their place in the BIG final

The final • A winner from each region will be in the final • Final bakes will be judged and tasted by a panel of well-known experts at The BIG Cake show in March 2015 • The winner will be presented their award on stage live at the show! • Everyone who takes part will receive a Big Cake Show certificate
