Necklace was found with multiple skin injuries to her neck and face, an ulcer on her upper lip, a broken tooth, and three open facial wounds near her ear, jaw, and cheek. Timed perfectly with the appeal, CCS is now a participating non-profit in the GivingFirst.org Colorado Gives Day on Dec. 6.

The United way assists charities from all over the country with procuring the funding they require to keep their doors open and continue their mission. No where is the work of the United Way more practically demonstrated that in Tulare County, California.
According to a recent article in the Visalia Times-Delta, the United Way supports 20 of the 126 charities currently at work in Tulare County. Located in southern California near Sequoia National Park, Tulare County is a largely agricultural area with a relatively low population. Because of this, there is a great deal of competition between non-profits for the community’s donation dollars.

Success) is a nonprofit organization that prepares high-achieving, low-income students for admission
to competitive secondary schools and colleges across the country. “In light of the unprecedented
disasters we have witnessed last year in the New Jersey area, we have chosen to support the efforts of
the American Red Cross,” says Essex Hudson Foundation Chairperson, Suzzanne Douglas Cobb.
“Additionally, NJ SEEDS is a powerful organization that serves our children and prepares them for
greatness, and it is the Essex Hudson Chapter’s hope that our contributions will further both causes.”
Tea à la Mode also benefits the Jack & Jill of America, Inc. Foundation. The philanthropic arm of Jack
& Jill of America, Inc. supports programs aimed at improving academic test scores, raising literacy and

Foundation has distributed millions of dollars to communities all across America.
