This document discusses using Supertest and Promises to test REST APIs. Supertest is a simple library created by TJ Holowaychuk that allows testing of HTTP requests on an Express server without needing to start the server. It is independent of any test runner. The document provides examples of GET and POST requests. It also introduces supertest-as-promised, which allows writing tests with Promises to avoid "callback hell".
