Prepared by Tr. Em Agcaoili
 Have you noticed that when you
have a cold, your nose stopped up
and you have trouble smelling and
tasting?
You have trouble tasting
because you smell certain
food more than you taste
them.
 taste and
smell work
together
 Odors are made of very tiny
molecules in the air. They are so
tiny that you cannot see them.
 The molecules bring the odors to us
as gasses in the air
How the Nose Works
 The sense of taste comes from the
nerves in the tongue.
 Taste buds are located at some of the
bumps on your tongue
 There are nerves inside the taste buds that
sends messages to your brain. The test
buds help you detect if your food taste
sweet, salty, sour and bitter.
