2. The line up
• 6:25 – the audiences queue.
• 7:20 – warm up, someone comes on with a health and safety
announcement and a bit of comedy to warm up the audience.
• 7:30 – Russell comes on.
• 7:32 – show starts. His normal comedy taking the mic out of
the news etc.
• 8:19 – the good news story.
• 8:22 – the shows over, or is it.
• 8:24 – questions, mystery guest and final bits.
3. Editing, recording and sketches
• Russell Howards good news is recorded with a live
audience and then edited so it can be put on TV.
• He has to record some sketches before the show that
are related to the news stories he tells so he can
show them to the audience without taking to much
time. He also shows some comic videos that his team
have found e.g. animals doing funny things like the
shocked cat or Boris Johnson quotes like ”very nice”.
4. Where its filmed
• The show is filmed in riverside studios,
Hammersmith, London.
• Most of the sketches that have to be filmed
before the show are filmed here in the
mornings.
5. Who stars in it?
• Russell Howard is the main man to the show
but he has mystery guests and sometimes
stand up acts (e.g. Reggie Watts) at the end.
• He also relies on his team cameras, light,
editing and more.
