2. For the first part of my research I was looking at regional magazines like this:
The target audience appears to be middle age/older middle class people as it
often includes content like information on seaside trips and activities,
restaurant recommendations, houses and boats for sales and polls on the
richest residents.
These regional magazines are often presented with a landscape image as the
foreground, promoting the lifestyle and beauty of each particular region.
3. Due to feedback mainly on twitter:
This research on twitter highlighted that the target audience for my magazine
wouldn’t like to see the typical regional magazines that I’d looked at so far. So I
furthered my research to see if I could find a regional magazine that always
featured a celebrity on the front cover. I found these:
I feel that the images of celebrities and content such as celebrity interviews similar
to the covers above would appeal to my target audience much more than a typical
regional magazine cover.
