Who would be the audience for your media product?
Age The age for our film is 15 as that is the minimum age for our target audience. Our target audience is 18 – 25 as they are the most common age groups that watch psychological horrors. We made it a certificate 15 as the film is not horrific enough to be classified as an 18.
Gender Women are part of our target audience as psychological horrors cross the boundaries of dramas. As many women are the target audience for dramas, it is not mystery to why they enjoy watching psychological horrors as they involve less action and violence. Psychological horrors also attach to the viewer on a more emotional scale as opposed to just fear. Often the protagonist is a female so they connect with them on an emotional way. Males are also apart of our target audience as many of the men will enjoy the violence or action when it does happen in the film.
