5. Introduction
5
The rapid changes in the global knowledge economy with the advancement in
science and technology have led to dramatic changes in society. No doubt that
India has leaped many boundaries in all sectors- commerce, technology, and
development, etc., but at the same time there has also been a detachment
from our beliefs and a fall in values.
Today we need to draw our identity from such a sprawling belief system that
gives a unique stature to India as the global platform where people from abroad
look up to India and resort to yoga and meditation to de-stress and rejuvenate
their minds.
6. PROBLEM STATEMENT
6
The various constructive recommendations of NEP 2020 need a pragmatic integration
into our curriculum which emphasizes not only being technologically endowed but an
ethical usage of the latest technologies in our everyday life. For such a revolutionary
step we need to identify the various challenges of the educational ecosystem of India,
some of which are as follows:
• At present, our education system is reeling under the ills of Westernization,
excessive privatization, and exclusion from its cultural underpinnings. This alienation
from its 2 indigenous wealth and repository has not let us achieve much in the
domain of education in the 21st century.
• We all know that just achieving literacy targets is insufficient for the intellectual
enlightenment of the masses. Thus we need to incorporate Indian Knowledge and
Tradition into the fold of education in such a way that it becomes our ‘way of life’.
• Being home to one of the youngest populations in the world, we also need to realize
the demographic dividend for the growth and development of our country.
• It is thus the moral responsibility of all the stakeholders in the Indian educational
system to strive for quality and equitable education for all by extending stimulating
courses on Indian Knowledge System to the students at a young age so that they
know the importance of “doing what's right”, with a logical framework for making
ethical decisions.
7. Problem Statement
• The digitized world has brought a sea of chaos along the upsides. Especially for kids
under 18, because of the demand for online education and unmonitored screen time,
they are exposed to the unsettling vices of the cyber world than the benefits.
• The internet era is also breaking the ties with roots, which is essential to raise a morally
responsible adult.
• We are living in an ecosystem where parents and other stakeholders are unequipped
and busy enough to harness their child’s potential.
• As we said raising a morally upright adult in today’s chaotic world a family is not only a
pain in the neck but also they are unequipped with the tools. This is when the Tarang
Studio family comes in the picture. We have designed an intersectional core curriculum
with the advantages of mythology and arts. We combine the best of both worlds to
teach the kids the arts and mythology by creating DIY art kits depicting the Shlokas
from the Vedas and Puranas. The benefits are myriads. But to underline the biggest
one, it saves the child from digressing from human values and inculcates emotional
intelligence.
• We are targeting to implement our innovative teaching in India and abroad where the
need for Mythology and Indic Culture is been developing to understand and analyze our
Indic roots with creativity, cross-disciplinary learnings, and diverse perspectives.
• We are developing products that will be unique of their kind linking Indian Board games
in various forms of art and thus engaging a child for creative learning.

8. Product/ Solution - Innovation
Tarang aims to reconfigure the education curriculum based on the framework of the
Indian knowledge System, with its emphasis on the rejuvenation of Indian languages, arts,
and culture.
• Tarang recognizes that the distinct place that India holds on the global stage is only
because of its cultural developments, civilizational values, and rich literature in all
fields.
• We aim in designing all curriculum and pedagogy, from the foundational stage onwards
which is strongly rooted in the Indian and local context and ethos in terms of culture,
traditions, heritage, customs, language, philosophy, geography, ancient and
contemporary knowledge, societal and scientific needs, indigenous and traditional
ways of learning etc. (para 4.29,NEP, 2020 ).
• Our curriculum would ensure that education is relatable, relevant, interesting, and
effective for our students. It will also lead to strong identity formation as the young
generation would be well-versed with the rich culture and heritage of India and can
take pride in it.
9. 9
• India is a treasure trove of culture, developed over thousands of years and
manifested in the form of arts, works of literature, customs, traditions, linguistic
expressions, artifacts, heritage sites. India is always looked up to for its spiritual and
transcendental elevation. India has much to offer to the world from its glorious past.
• Thus, the promotion of Indian arts and culture is important not only for the nation
but also for the individual. Cultural awareness and expression are among the major
competencies considered important to develop in children, in order to provide
them with a sense of identity, belongingness and appreciation of other cultures and
identities. It would also build a positive cultural identity and self-esteem among the
children.
• Our ancient education system focused on the holistic development of the individual
and emphasized on values such as humility, truthfulness, discipline, self-reliance and
respect for all creations. Teaching and learning followed the tenets of Vedas and
Upanishads fulfilling duties towards self, family and society, thus encompassing all
aspects of life. Education in India has a heritage of being pragmatic, achievable and
complementary to daily life.
• TARANG main USP and focus is thru education of Indian Art and Culture.

as it is truly important for building the nation’s identity. Understanding its importance at the international
forum and with the spirit of creating cultural bonds and promotion of Indian culture abroad. A course on Folk

13. Market Landscape - Market Potential, Competitors
• The global Arts and Crafts market was valued at USD 41590
million in 2019 and is expected to reach USD 54530 million by
the end of 2026, growing at a CAGR of 3.9% during 2021-2026.
This report focuses on Arts and Crafts volume and value at the
global level, regional level and company level.
14. Understanding our Market
14
• Out of 1.3billion, children aged between 3-14years is 444 million.
• We target kids from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and also villages of North
Karnataka which we are already working with.
• Total Investment made till date is Rs. 1,50,000/-
• External funding received so far : NIL
• Many companies who work on similar grounds cover only the product
but not learning centres.
• Our USP is customization and also creating learning hubs in North
Karnataka and later spread across different cities of country.
15. Advantages of the Products
15
• Children tend to get quickly bored in the absence of things that can keep their
hands or their minds engaged. With the pandemic limitations holding them
back from discovering the world through their own experiences, there can be
nothing better than to give them something they can experiment on from
within the confines of their homes.
• Tarang’s Do-it-yourself kits facilitate children in discovering new hobbies,
allow them to reconnoiter their capabilities, and above all help them to tap
into their creativity. The notion behind parents opting for STEM-based toys or
DIY kits is that these toys tend to provide a practical, hands-on learning
approach to young minds.
• This assists them in easily grasping concepts like mathematics and science,
thus imparting a holistic approach. Additionally, playing with these toys will
also help in including life skills like confidence, problem-solving attributes,
better communication skills, and persistence to name a few.
