Tara is a non-profit that works to empower communities and end poverty by facilitating capacity development so communities can meet their needs independently with dignity and respect, rather than relying on charity or handouts. They believe in working with communities as equals to help them develop the ability to sustain themselves.

needs. We create an opportunity for a girl to control her
future by removing barriers to education through:

• school uniforms and shoes
•health education and empowerment training
• sanitation infrastructure and hygiene supplies
