The Talent Life Cycle
What skills do I have? What am I good at? What kind of job do I want? What kind of job could I get? What kind of skills & qualifications do we need ? What are the key functions of the role? What values and attitudes are critical to success? What kind of person are we looking for?
JCP isn’t much use, I’ll try the internet. There are so many job boards now -  Which job board would work for me? Actually, how do job boards work? We’ve always used local papers and agencies - why change? Which job board would work for us? Rejecting candidates takes time/money – how do we get only relevant candidates Is there a Talent Pool of candidates we can search, rather than advertise?
How do I write a great cover letter? How do I make my application form stand out? What preparation do I do for an interview? I’m nervous about interviews  How can recruiting be made easier and quicker?   How can we get the right kind of people, first time? What technology could help with the admin? ,[object Object],[object Object]
I hope my new Employer helps me do well. What happens if I’m not good at the job? What do I need to do to get promoted? Groan.  It’s difficult if a new recruit isn’t working out. How can we develop new skills in our wider workforce? How can we build staff engagement through skills development and career planning.
