The Tablas de Daimiel National Park is a wetland located in the mainly arid province of Ciudad Real in Spain. The wetlands were formed by overflow from the confluence of the Guadiana and Cigüela rivers, aided by the slight slope of the land. The ecosystem supports a variety of fauna such as ducks, water snakes, frogs, foxes, eagles, wild pigs, otters, rabbits, tortoises, carp, and barb, as well as flora like reeds, brambles, wild roses, algae, and tamarisk.
