Transient Temperature Response of a Combustion Chamber Wall. This program is a result of the discretization of a One-dimensional FD (Finite Difference) Equation in cylindrical coordinates system to produce transient conduction response. The program is named T-Burst, for thermal Burst or thermal pulsation events such as those occurring in internal combustion engines. The objective was to determine whether the chamaber wall-temperature would exceed the ignition temperature of the liquid propellant. The simulation showed that the chamber wall temperature would always remain under the level of ignition of the liquid propellant This white paper is intended to be of inspiration to analysts of pulsating (transient) thermal events such as those in guns and internal combustion chambers.
