This document outlines a synopsis for a research project on waste management practices in hotels in Delhi. The objectives of the research are to minimize waste produced, promote reuse, and safely manage toxic materials. The methodology will include collecting primary data through interviews and questionnaires and secondary data from literature and reports. Waste generation is increasing as the population grows. Delhi generates a high amount of solid waste compared to other cities in India. Improper waste management can damage the environment and spread diseases.

2. 1. Introduction
The unwanted or unless materials generated from
the combined of residential, industrial, and
commercial activities in a given common area is
known as waste. While disposing of waste can have a
significant impact on the environment as well as
human being. Through this topic we will highlighted
the problem, effect, new technique, and solution.
- We will address about:- Problem, effect , and
solution.
- Follow by the status of hotel industry, national
issue or the severity to address the problem.
- All wastes have the potential to cause
environmental damage if it is not correctly
managed.
- This work is important to understand the effect
of waste on environment.
- By the using of 4R principal:- Reduce, Recycle,
Reuse, Refuse.
- This project is important to aware the people, if
the waste is increases it will leads to spread of
many diseases, infection, also affecting human
and animals life in danger.
2. Literature Review
 In recent years fast population growth, increase
in urbanization and industrialization in India has
created severe problems for solid waste
management in cities. Each year the rate of solid

3. waste generation also rise up to 1.3%.
 Since Delhi is the most populated and urbanized
city in India about 3.85% 3.85%, almost double
the national average.
 For a hospitality business, the cost of solid waste
management includes various factors such as the
disposal and transport of waste, as well as
associated labor costs.
 According to the estimates of the Central
Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Mumbai and
Delhi generate about 11,000 and 8,700 tones per
day of solid waste respectively.
 By the recent data of biomedical waste
management(BMWM) only about 10%-25% is
hazardous, and the remaining 75%-95% is non-
hazardous
 The biodegradable component of India’s solid
waste is currently estimated at a little over 50 per
cent.
3. Statement of the Problem
 Today population is increasing day by day, also
the rate of waste is increasing, so we have to
aware people about managing the waste by
proper methods, like throwing waste in dustbins,
using the concept of 4Rprincipal

 To minimize the waste produced.
 Promoting re-use of different things who have
fulfilled their purpose.
 Transfer and treatment of waste, energy from
waste and the conservation of basic materials.
 Remove and safely manage toxic or
environmentally harmful materials like solvents,
wastewater and industrial waste.
5. Research Methodology
This section will include:

This study would be conducted in the area of
Delhi(NCR) with social media platform also and
selected companies.
2. RESEARCH DESIGN
Qualitative, Quantitative, adopted to get quickly
changes.
3. DATA TYPE
1. Primary mode of collection.
(a) Interview.
(b) Questionnaire via online.

5. (c) Data collection, Tabulation, Analysis, and
interpretation, shall be done.
(d) Sample size shall be fixed later on as per
guidance of the supervisor.
2. Secondary mode of collection.
(a) Data from social media.
(b) Various journals.

Decide later on the basis of population size.
