ADHD

Sweding task
• For this media task, I will be re-creating a music video frame for frame, also
known as sweding. For the task, I will be using the music video for ADHD
by Kendrick Lamar and swede 1 minute of the video. I will be using a Adobe
Premier Pro for the editing of the video. As I have little to no experience
using the program, I hope to learn techniques that can be valuable in future
tasks with editing. I also hope to learn filming techniques used in rap videos
and this video specifically when replicating it, so when it comes to the
filming of my final video, I will have shots I will already know how to
execute.
Planning
• Before the actual filming of the video, pre planning for
various parts in filming must be done: for example
location, cast and shots used in the video. This planning
will ensure the filming is organised and takes as little time
as possible with the best results.
Location
• We have chosen to do the recording of our sweding task at Russell Park in
Bedford. This location is quite large and enables us to find a quiet place to
do our filming so there are no interruptions from passers bye. The location is
also close to a corner shop where we can get shots from the original video,
where characters are walking through a shop. This saves us time as we are
not taking long moving from each location and can likely get all the filming
done in one session.
Cast
• Kendrick Lamar’s role (Main Character): Ashley
This role includes a lot of screen time and lip syncing so Ashley will need to learn the lyrics of the
song in order to give a good performance and match the song
Cast
• Extras: Kyle, Filippo, Diego and Gurpreet.
These roles are for the additional characters in the music video and will mainly involve the casting
members to be in the background and be in similar positions as the extras in the original ADHD video.
Shot planning
• Pre planning the shots and getting the original music video to look at will
make us prepared for filming the music video as we will know all of the
shots we will need to complete and can do them quickly. We will also be able
to execute them better as we will have thoroughly looked at them and will
know what to do when it comes to each shot.
