This study evaluates racial disparities in survival after AIDS diagnosis, focusing on the differences between whites, blacks, and Hispanics using standardized Kaplan-Meier estimation. Findings indicate that while Hispanics and whites show similar survival rates, blacks face increased mortality when compared to the other two groups. The study highlights the advantages of using standardized Kaplan-Meier for survival estimates and covariate adjustment without relying on proportional hazards assumptions.
