The Sun is located at the center of our solar system and is a yellow dwarf star that gives off different types of energy including infrared, ultraviolet, radio waves, and light. It is composed primarily of hydrogen (91%) and helium (8.9%) and has a core temperature of around 27,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Through the nuclear fusion process in its core, the Sun releases energy in the form of radiation, electricity, and solar wind.
