1. Hamstead Hall Academy
Part of the Hamstead Hall Academy Trust
Hamstead Hall Academy is a vibrant and dynamic Academy in Handsworth Wood
which caters for 1100 students from the ages of 11 to 18. It has a successful sixth
form which prepares students for university life and the world of work.
The facilities are first class and include: A state of the art Apple Computer Centre;
Drama Studio; Lecture Theatre; a fully refurbished canteen and library; an Artificial
Turf Pitch; Climbing Tower; fully refurbished areas of learning for English, Modern
Languages, RE, Humanities, ICT and SEN.
The academy has its own extensive grounds and playing fields right next to the
Sandwell Valley Nature Reserve. These attractive facilities provide our students with an
extensive range of sporting and outdoor activities. One of our many unique features is
the way we develop and challenge our students’ resilience and determination through
the Duke of Edinburgh Award, which we are a registered centre for.
Our mission statement “Success for all through hard work and harmony” is all
about – success, inclusion and a positive attitude to work and each other.
Come and see us at work!
