Misheck has over 20 years experience in Microfinance Banking and Operations. He has been involved
with leading Microfinance Banks in Kenya such as Krep Bank, Equity Bank and Century Microfinance
Bank in various capacities such as Branch Management, Regional Team Leadership and heading Business
Development as well as Operations.
His greatest areas of expertise are in growth strategy development; policy, process and procedures
development and implementation; Products development; Operations management; relationship
marketing, credit administration and overall branch management.
Misheck has a Bachelors degree in Business Management from Moi University and an MBA in
Entrepreneurship from the same university .He also holds a Diploma in Cooperatives Management from
The Cooperative University College of Kenya and is a full Member of the Kenya Institute of Management
(KIM) and the Association of Microfinance Professionals of Kenya (AMPK).He is a Certified Public
Accountant Level Two.
He has international exposure in Microfinance Banking Operations having undertaken International
microfinance courses and attended international workshops. He has a certificate in MFTOT
(Microfinance Training of Trainers) from the World Bank sponsored Tokyo Development Centre, a
certificate in General Tools and Concepts in Agribusiness SME Development from the Danish Fellowship
Centre at Copenhagen,Denmark and have attended one month microfinance workshop at ASA in
Bangladesh.
Misheck is an accomplished banker who has undertaken leadership of Bank Branches and Operational
regions and delivered great results with the allocated resources. At Krep Bank he led teams in Nairobi
region, Western Region and Mt Kenya regions and spearheaded commencement of operations in
hitherto unreached areas.
At Equity Bank he took charge of a new Branch Operations as Business Growth and Development
Manager and delivered profitability with client load of 20,000 customers in eighteen months. At Century
Microfinance Bank he led the team that setup the bank and commencement of operations by creating
all the systems and setting up head office and branch operations for approval by Central Bank.
