STATEMENT OF CAPABILITY
Kym Harvy
I am a CPA Accountant with 3 years’ Public Practice experience plus 20 years’
experience in large industry, having spent time with Advent Accounting (~3 Years),
WMC (ODO ~ 6 years), Normandy/Newmont (Tanami and Perth ~9 years), Perilya
(Broken Hill ~ 1 year) and Grange Resources (Tasmania ~ 3.5 years).
During this time I have graduated through a variety of positions from Mine
Accountant to Business Analyst to Site Business Manager and Commercial
Manager.
The following table outlines some of the skills I can bring to your business.

Qualifications Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Associate Diploma

ERP Experience I have worked with large ERP systems over the past 20
years and have been involved with implementations and
upgrades of SAP (including training end users), Ellipse
(site readiness and implementation team) and more
recently, Microsoft Dynamics AX (implementations
team). I have completed process mapping exercises for
finance and project functions. I also have extensive
experience at developing excel based systems for data
analysis when ERP systems do not provide the required
information presentation formats.
Analysis and Reporting I have completed hundreds of periodic reports over the
past 20 years, analysing production, costs and KPI’s for
a wide variety of activities. I have completed these
reports for cost centres, departments (production and
support), operations, organisations and multi operation
organisations.
Management Accounting Experience in large organisations conducting end of
period accounting functions, including accruals,
performance analysis, and reporting.
Budgeting and
Forecasting
I have developed budgets for cost centres, departments
(production and support), and complete operations (circa
$300M turnover). I have used Quatro, Excel, Excel
linked to MS Access, MS Access and Hyperion
Planning. I have also developed budgets for $M
projects. I have developed budgets for cost centres
driven by activity, personnel, and projects in addition to
developing equipment maintenance budgets driven by
SMU’s and component replacement programs.
Cash Flows I have managed the operational cash flow model for a
$300M organisation, plus managed multi data set cash
flow analysis for $M an $B projects
Capital Justifications 20 years’ experience writing and assisting operations
personnel with a wide variety of justifications for capital
expenditure and large operating projects
Excel Modelling I enjoy the challenge of setting up Excel models for
various purposes, and assisting others. During my time
at Newmont, many of the models I developed for the
Tanami Operations were adopted and remain in use at
other sites in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia.
