Summary
In this project, we decided to work with Alejandro’s lesson plan. It is a semester lesson plan
for the 7th grade which has the following topics: the unit name, expected learning, contents,
activities, timing and assessment. In add to this, we added two more topics: metacognition
and technologies.

To develop this lesson plan, we decided to keep some expected learning, activities and the
assessment. Also we chose two of the three contents of this lesson plan.

This lesson plan is designed for a unit in two months. So, that is why we chose two
contents and in this way, we can focus in the main activities. On the other side, we realized
that the activities in the lesson plan were “general activities” without specification about
how to do it. For this reason we added a class by class lesson plan with each specification
of the activities.

The technologies that we used to develop the lesson plan were: Prezi, Glogter and Google
Drive.

We used Prezi to show the information about the topics, in this case “Future Tenses
(will/going to)” and “WH Questions and Short Questions”, including structures, examples,
the different uses of each content, etc.

In the Glogster, we put the activities related to those two contents plus some files uploaded
in Google Drive with worksheets.

Now, why did we choose Prezi, Glogster and Google Drive? Because many students do not
know this kind of technology and also, because through this tools, the information
presented is more didactic and it will call the attention of the students, encourage them to
participate in every single activity and finally, they will enjoy the teaching way.

We made 6 classes of 45 minutes each one and the activities are made with the 4 skills
(Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading). In add to this, the metacognition part of each
activity consist in a self-evaluation sheet where the students can express what they learned
and how they worked with the activity.

As a conclusion, this lesson plan is more specific than the original lesson plan of the guide
teacher. As we can see, we changed the activities, the expected learning and the assessment
because we found that the originals are too weak and with no specifications. Our lesson
plan is more complete, the activities are simple and easy to understand for the students, and
also our activities have a fix with games making it more attractive and interesting.
