Suicide is a multi-dimensional disorder, which results
from a complex interaction of
biological, genetic, psychological and environmental
factors. Excess effects of these factors on any
individual may leads to suicide attempt.

Most suicides are planned. They are not just
impulsive events.
Suicide is preventable.
When a person is depressed, they are NOT
thinking, feeling, or acting the way they normally
do. They need help!

Major disappointment, failure, or loss such as
breaking up with a girlfriend or boyfriend, failing a big
exam
Depression, hopelessness, domestic problems, drugs
and harsh behavior of society and from this research
it is proved that depression is one of the leading
causes.

9. STATISTICS OF SUICIDE
Over one million people die by suicide every year, making
it the 10th leading cause of death worldwide.
The findings showed that men outnumber women by 2:1
and that the majority of men who commit suicide tend to
be unmarried; the trend for women, however, is the
opposite. Research also indicated that the majority of
subjects were under the age of 30 and that "domestic
problems" are the main reason stated for suicide.

that everybody has difficult days and that suicide is
NOT the answer.
