This document discusses suffixes such as -ous, -sion, -ion, and -ation and how they can change words. Adding -ation, -ion, or -sion can change a verb into a noun. Adding -ous can change a noun into an adjective. When adding suffixes, the spelling of some base words may change by dropping or changing a final e or y. Examples are then given of words with different suffixes and their meanings.

2. Suffixes- ous, -sion,- ion, and -ation
 Adding – ation,-ion, or –sion changes a verb to a noun.
 Adding – ous changes the word from a noun to an adjective.
 When adding a suffix, the spelling of some base words may
change.

fury/furious

 something (such as a statement or fact) that explains
something

 the ability to make choices quickly and confidently

 a way to rest and enjoy yourself

14. conversation
 a talk between two or more people

15. tension
 the act of straining or stretching

16. humorous
 causing laughter

17. exhibition
 the act of showing something in public

 a feeling of interest in something or someone

 very exciting and attractive

 strange, unknown, or difficult to understand

 the activities that relate to running a company,
school, or other organization
