This document defines and provides examples of different interrogative pronouns: who, whom, whose, what, and which. Who refers to people as a subject, whom refers to people or objects as an object. Whose is used to ask about possession. What refers to things and asks for general information. Which asks between options or choices. Examples are provided for how each pronoun is used in questions.

- This pronoun refers to people.
- It functions as a subject in the
sentence.
- Ask questions about person,
people, and name

7. WHOM
- This pronoun also refers to
people or object.
- It functions as an object in the
sentence.

8. Example:
• To whom was my paper given?
• For whom is the song
dedicated?
• Whom shall we speak?

9. WHOSE
- This pronoun also refers to people.
- It used in questions to ask who owns
something.
- It functions as a possessive pronoun
in the sentence which expresses the
idea of belonging to.

11. WHAT
- This pronoun refers to
things.
- It is used in asking general
information
