While Christianity does not promise wealth, health or an absence of suffering, the document notes that living for Christ could mean hardship, persecution, and even greater suffering. Several Bible passages are cited that describe Christians enduring physical torture, imprisonment, poverty, loneliness, the loss of family and possessions, and even death for their faith. However, the document concludes that Christians should not lose hope and should remain faithful to Christ, as suffering in this life will be outweighed by eternal reward.
The document is a 31 slide presentation on lessons from a cave. It contains multiple Bible verses from Psalms and other books that discuss taking refuge in God, crying out to God in difficult times, God sending his truth and love, praising God among the nations, and exalting God above the heavens. The presentation uses the verses to discuss themes of finding shelter, strength, and hope in God during hard times.
The apostle Paul would disagree with Prosperity Theology based on several biblical passages. Paul suffered greatly for spreading the gospel, as did other apostles and early Christians. Jesus and his disciples lived in poverty and humility. The Bible warns that wealth can become a snare and distract from God. True prosperity comes from God and should be used to help others and spread the gospel, not for personal gain.
1) Marriage is meant to picture Christ's relationship with the church.
2) In the Bible, divorce breaks this picture, except in cases of adultery, where the marriage no longer depicts Christ and the church.
3) Paul provides guidance for Christians regarding marriage, divorce, and remarriage. He instructs that it is better to remain single if possible, but if married, spouses should not separate except in cases of adultery or an unbelieving spouse initiating divorce. Remarriage is acceptable in these cases.
Christ learned obedience through suffering. Suffering produces perseverance and leads to an eternal glory that outweighs temporary hardships. While suffering, Job maintained his faith in God despite losing his family and possessions, and his example is one Christians can learn from. Suffering is common to humanity, but God promises to never abandon those who are His and to use hardship to draw people nearer to Himself.

This document analyzes 1 Corinthians 3:1-3, which discusses Christians acting as "babies" rather than being "spiritual." It summarizes that:
1) Some Christians were acting as "babies" by following certain leaders instead of God, showing a lack of spiritual discernment.
2) These Christians could only handle "milk" (basic teachings) rather than "meat" (deeper teachings), and were not able to understand complex doctrines.
3) There was "envying, strife, and divisions" among these Christians, showing they were acting out of carnal/fleshly motives rather than being spiritual.
The conclusion encourages Christians to gain spiritual
The document discusses the concept of giving and generosity from a Christian perspective. It argues that true giving comes from understanding God's grace, and that Christians should excel in giving just as they excel in other areas of life. The document encourages readers to consider how they can increase their giving and make it a priority before the end of their lives.

2 Tim. 1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
This document discusses the need for intense engagement in evangelism. It notes that billions are dying without Christ and churches may cease to exist unless more is done to meet this need. However, the need is not being met due to a lack of concern, knowledge, courage, faith and focus among Christians. The document urges Christians to fulfill the Great Commission by making disciples, to love others by offering salvation, and to have the zeal of the early church. It argues intense engagement is needed because of God's command, to show love for others, and because of the joy in saving souls and the terror of judgment day. The conclusion calls Christians to restore the church's original mission of intense engagement in God's vineyard.

All through the ages of this earth's history, God's people have always faced persecutions. The children of Israel faced persecutions from heathen/gentile nations each time they forsook the Lord God almighty, some of those persecutions came from within the nation when apostate kings killed their own people such as in the cases of Manasseh and King Ahab and her wife Queen Jezebel who killed the prophets of God. Jesus Christ while on earth was persecuted by His own people and finally crucified by the approval of relegious/church leaders and Pilate (church & state) . In the same vein, the followers of Jesus were persecuted during the dark ages when the Roman church (catholic) ruled the world with iron fist for 1260 years. This same Roman empire is today mobilizing apostate protestant churches, political leaders and nations together so that she could control the world again as she did from 538 AD to 1798 AD (1260 years). When she shall have such power which she has already succeeded, those who keep all of God's commandments including the fourth commandment (the Sabbath Day - Saturday) would face severe persecution from Church & State, precisely, Papacy and the United States of America. The document discusses biblical perspectives on money, possessions, and generosity. It provides several "keys" or principles: 1) God owns everything and we are merely stewards of what he provides. 2) Where we put our money reveals where our heart is and determines where it will go. 3) Heaven, not earth, is our true home. 4) We should live not just for short-term pleasures but with an eye to eternal rewards. 5) Giving is the only remedy for materialism and selfish desires. 6) God blesses our generosity not to raise our standard of living but to increase our standard of giving.

Paul exhorts the Colossians to continue in prayer that is faithful, watchful, and thankful. He asks them to pray for him that God may open doors for him to preach about Christ. Paul also instructs them to walk wisely among outsiders and redeem the time, and to let their speech be gracious and thoughtful. If these three exhortations about prayer, conduct, and speech are followed, it can powerfully impact one's life and allow Christ to transform every aspect of who they are.

1) Jesus gave a new commandment to love one another as He has loved us. This demonstrated God's love in a new way through Jesus' life and death.
2) While the Old Testament commanded loving neighbors and strangers, Jesus showed the deepest meaning of love by sacrificing Himself.
3) The main principles that guided Jesus were loving neighbors through service, loving enemies, and following His loving example in all things.
The document discusses the persecution and suffering of Christians throughout the world and throughout history. It provides statistics on the number of Christians killed for their faith each day and countries where Christians face persecution. It discusses how Christians should respond to persecution by standing firm in their faith, resisting evil, and finding comfort and strength in God. It also notes that persecution is promised for those who follow Christ and live godly lives.

1) The document discusses what it takes to be a good Christian soldier based on passages from the Bible. It says Christians must be tough, fight to the finish, follow Jesus's example of sacrifice, and forsake their own ambitions.
2) It outlines five characteristics of a good soldier: being tough and free to fight, fighting to the finish, following Jesus's example, proclaiming total allegiance to God, and forsaking personal ambitions.
3) It encourages readers to fully surrender and commit themselves to God to begin fighting for Him as good soldiers.
The document discusses the obligation of Christians to "go" as part of the Great Commission given by Jesus. It explains that Jesus commanded the apostles and early church to go and spread the gospel to all nations. Today, this obligation belongs to all Christians. We should go because Jesus commanded it, we love the truth and souls, and we want to prioritize our faith. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit all want the gospel to be shared with all people. Christians can go in any lawful way using modern technologies. We are to go now and for our whole lives after proper preparation, in order to save as many as possible before death.
Paul writes this letter to Timothy to encourage and instruct him. He expresses his love for Timothy and recalls Timothy's faith that comes from his mother and grandmother. Paul urges Timothy to continue teaching the truth of the gospel and warns him about false teachers who will arise and deceive people. Paul also encourages Timothy to continue preaching the word of God despite suffering and to guard the truth that was entrusted to him.

This document discusses preparing a Christian family for persecution by expecting it, enduring it, and embracing it. It provides biblical support for these points from passages like Matthew 5:10-12 and 1 Peter 4:12-13. The document encourages believers to pray for and do good to those who curse them, as this persecution will be temporary but results in eternal rewards. Facing persecution strengthens family identity and faith in God, who comforts those who suffer for righteousness.
This document discusses what it means to be a missionary and why one would become a missionary. It describes missionaries as ambassadors called by God to preach the gospel in places where Christ is unknown. It dispels myths about missionaries, such as that they must cross oceans or live in difficult conditions. The document emphasizes that missionaries should be passionate about glorifying God above all else and should be willing to sacrifice everything, including their lives, to spread the gospel.
The document discusses the concept of "the unknown" from a biblical perspective over five sections:
1. The Unknown Development - discusses how a person is spiritually "dead" before salvation but called to consider themselves "dead" after salvation.
2. The Unknown Director - emphasizes that one must choose to serve God rather than sin.
3. The Unknown Deceiver - warns about being deceived by sin and corrupted by evil influences.
4. The Unknown Disappointment - notes that not all who strive will receive rewards and success is not guaranteed in spiritual life.
5. The Unknown Declaration - stresses the importance of self-examination to avoid being "reprobate" and facing rejection from
True Grace In The Believer’S Life Brings Suffering 2John Parker
The document discusses suffering for righteousness and being a Christian. It says that suffering may result from doing good, but believers are blessed and should not fear. They should be prepared to explain their faith gently and respectfully. Even though others may persecute Christians, they will be judged. Believers should serve each other with their gifts and obey God, as suffering is part of life but they are not alone. They should commit to God as Jesus did when he suffered.
1) Peter writes to encourage Christians experiencing suffering and persecution to remain faithful to God. He exhorts church elders to shepherd their flocks willingly and without greed.
2) Peter describes Satan as a roaring lion seeking to devour believers, but urges Christians to resist him through steadfast faith. Suffering is temporary but will result in eternal glory.
3) He promises that God will restore, strengthen, and establish believers after they have endured hardship for a time. All suffering is meaningful and prepares Christians for greater rewards in heaven.
This document discusses how Christians have been granted two things by God: belief in Christ resulting in salvation, and the privilege of suffering for Christ's sake. It notes that Romans 3:9-12 describes how no one is righteous or seeks God on their own due to sin. However, God shows mercy and grace freely through faith alone, not works, as seen in Romans 9:6-24 and Ephesians 2:1-8. Suffering for Christ is also discussed in passages like Acts 5:41 and 2 Timothy 3:12. The overall message is that Christians have been granted belief and suffering by God, which should lead to glorifying God alone through worship by faith alone.
This document contains excerpts from scripture and outlines discussing the judgment seat of Christ. Some key points:
1) All believers will stand before the judgment seat of Christ to be judged based on their works and receive rewards.
2) There are several crowns or rewards that may be received based on faithfulness and service, such as crowns for righteousness, life, rejoicing, and glory.
3) Believers will be judged on how they lived their life in different areas like treating others, using their talents, generosity, enduring suffering, witnessing to souls, and faithfulness.
4) The judgment aims to evaluate works and distribute rewards rather than condemnation, as salvation has
C. S. Lewis’ reaction to the Sermon on the Mount stated, “As to ‘caring for’ the Sermon on the Mount, if ‘caring for’ here means ‘liking’ or enjoying, I suppose no one ‘cares for’ it. Who can like being knocked flat on his face by a sledgehammer? I can hardly imagine a more deadly spiritual condition than that of a man who can read that passage with tranquil pleasure.” Certainly, in consideration of this beatitude and promise of persecution, this observation is profoundly true.

This document discusses what it means to be a missionary and why one should become a missionary. It defines a missionary as someone called by God to preach the gospel in areas where Christ is unknown, who brings their culture and represents God's love. It addresses myths about missionaries and argues that full-time missionaries are still needed. The key reasons given for becoming a missionary are that God wants us to passionately love and glorify him, reflect his greatness to others, and seek worshippers from all nations.
The document is a sermon from the Rossville Church discussing several biblical passages about bearing with one another, pleasing God rather than ourselves, and following Christ's example of humility and service. It encourages believers to accept one another as Christ accepts us, despite our weaknesses, and to gain patience and comfort from examples of faith in the Old Testament. It also contains an invitation to accept Christ and explains the meaning of water baptism.

The document discusses the persecution that Christians may face for living according to the principles of the Beatitudes from Matthew 5:3-11. It states that those who live godly lives and are willing to pay the price will be persecuted by the world in various ways, such as harassment and insults, because the world rejects Christ and his standard of righteousness. However, Christians are promised a great reward in heaven and should face persecution with joy, as they are sharing in the fate of the prophets.

A375 Example Taste the taste of the Lord, the taste of the Lord The taste of...franktsao4
It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2. The following is NOT a promise that IF you become a Christian you’ll receive a Rolls Royce, fancy mansion, diamond rings, never-ending youth, wealth, riches, painlessness, lots of trustworthy friends, a spouse, kids, straight As, wonderful vacations, and/or excellent health. In fact, living for Christ could mean…
3. 1 Thessalonians 3:4 4 In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know.
4. Mark 8:34-36 34 Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 For whoever wants to save his life [ a ] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul? These CHRISTIANS have lost their homes but are still giving God what’s His.
5. This CHRISTIAN woman was beat, flogged and raped for her refusal to deny Jesus Christ as Lord. Matthew 10:34-36 34 "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn " 'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her motherinlaw— 36 a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.' Is God number one (numero uno) in your life?
6. Physical torture may come… Acts 5:40-41 40 His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. 41 The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.
7. This CHRISTIAN woman’s breast was removed for her refusal to deny Jesus Christ as Lord. Luke 6:22-23 22 Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. 23 "Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets.
8. Philemon 1:13 13 I would have liked to keep him with me so that he could take your place in helping me while I am in chains for the gospel. Revelation 2:10 10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.
9. This Christian child fears for her life as her family members were slaughtered… John 15:18 18 "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
10. This Christian child was burned for her faith in Jesus Christ… Romans 8:16-18 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. 18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
11. Loneliness may come… 1 Peter 4:12 12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.
12. Financial stress may not go away… Matthew 11:28-30 28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
13. 2 Thessalonians 1:5 5 All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. You may lose everything… James 5:10-11 10 Brothers, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11 As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
14. Hebrews 13:12-13 12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. 13 Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. Suffering is biblical…
15. Depression may come… 1 Peter 2:19-21 19 For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God. 20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
16. Despair may come… John 14:1 1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.
17. You may lose your marriage… Matthew 10:37-38 37 "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38 and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
18. 2 Timothy 2:3 3 Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
19. Your children may die… Ephesians 6:11 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
20. 1 John 3:16-18 16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
21. 1 Corinthians 15:30-32 30 And as for us, why do we endanger ourselves every hour? 31 I die every day—I mean that, brothers—just as surely as I glory over you in Christ Jesus our Lord. 32 If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus for merely human reasons, what have I gained? If the dead are not raised, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die." Persecution may come… 1 John 3:13 13 Do not be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.
22. This Christian child’s face was severely sliced for her faith in Jesus Christ… 2 Corinthians 1:5-7 5 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. Don’t advance this slide so fast, take another look at this girl’s scar.
23. Philippians 1:29-30 29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him, 30 since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have. Wars may come…

27. Suffering is throughout the bible, but why is it that we do not hear a whole lot about it… 2 Timothy 1:8 8 So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, 2 Timothy 3:12 12 In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
34. Just because you may be a Christian, doesn’t mean your circumstances will disappear or change… BUT…
35. Matthew 24:10-14 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
36. Don't spend your life fighting for what YOU want. Your life is not your own… Just because you may be a Christian, you're not exempt from pain, suffering, loss, depression, foreclosure, divorce, sickness, disease, catastrophe, betrayal and death. So, while you're at McDonald's or enjoying the comfort of your nice big home, and comfortable living take some time to lift up actual brothers and sisters in the faith that are being violently persecuted for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
37. In fact, living for Christ could mean things could get worse… Matthew 16:25-27 25 For whoever wants to save his life [ a ] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. 26 What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done.
38. Colossians 1:24 24 Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ's afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. Jesus did nothing wrong, yet suffered the most of all...
