This was achieved by consistently driving positive safety culture, working with operations to identifying opportunities to mitigate
safety risks and inventory shrink. Building partnerships with my operations counterparts and inspiring others to make AP related
initiatives a priority is a key component to these results. Conducting Safety Audits and inspections and reporting results to
corporate partners. Also achieving a high level of proficiency and understanding of operational functions and all warehouse

 Awarded 1st “Supervisor Incentive Contest” in 2000 for achieving maximum productivity with creativity and enthusiasm.
 Developed and implemented company-wide initiative to eliminate the application of system generated labels resulting
in a $10,000 annual savings in thermal label stock and labor.
 Developed, wrote and implemented first comprehensive standard operating procedure for outbound order processing
from load planning to shipment
Kmart Corporation, Manteno RDC 1992 – 1998
Positions held: Traffic Manager, Shipping Non-Con Manager, Assistant Traffic Manager, Scheduling Operation Supervisor, and
Reach Truck Operator.
Key accomplishments:
 Worked with Price-Waterhouse Consulting and Manugistics to develop a custom schedule optimizer and automated lot
control system to be implemented in all Kmart Distribution Centers.
 Managed a budget of $1.5 mil in outbound transportation expense and a trailer inventory of 700+
 Created a “fixed route” schedule that saved the company $5,000 daily.
 Developed, wrote and implemented a trailer lot control process that resulted in increased tracking and visibility of trailer
lot movement and accountability
 Re-profiled non-conveyable shipping prime locations that resulted in a 10% improvement picking productivity.
 Developed and implemented ergonomics program to reduce WC injuries
