Why do you feel that you are going to give more freedom to the Sudeten people than Benes?
­It has been very noticeable that Germans in Sudetenland are not having the amount of freedom
that they deserve. I will give them the rights they deserve and treat them adequately.
How are you going to change the fact that the Germans in the Sudetenland are being
persecuted?
­I will not tolerate Germans being persecuted or mistreated while I have the power to stop it. I
won’t rest until we Germans recover, and go back to our greatness before the WW1. He can
either accept my offer and give the Germans our freedom, our we Germans will go get it
ourselves!
Why were you so determined to conquer the Sudetenland?
­ I believe that the Czech government is mistreating the Germans in the Sudetenland and I am
intending to rescue them. Also this was ours before it was taken away by the Treaty of
Versailles. We will not give up on what belongs to us and what we deserve.
With so much newly conquered land, is this negative or positive for Germany? Why?
­ It is positive for Germany because it is necessary to create the `greater Germany’. We are
warriors, we want a big army to defend and protect our country. By expanding our territory we
are acquiring new possibilities to succeed in all that we wanted. I want to carve out an empire in
Eastern Europe to give extra living space for Germans.
You have talked about the `greater Germany`, what does that mean to you?
­ The ‘greater Germany’ is a concept and a goal that we Germans have. It consists of a future
we are trying to reach. With a bigger army, more living land, for economic reasons but mainly to
return to what we were before WW1.
With the First World War happening recently, are you willing to fight for the Sudetenland
considering that it could start another war?
­ I have put an offer to Herr Benes, an offer that is nothing other than the realisation of his
promises. The decision is his now! Be it war or peace!
