Over the next couple months, United American Security will provide substance abuse training to all site managers and officers. The training will help participants understand the harmful effects of workplace substance abuse, know company policies and legal requirements, recognize signs of abuse, and take action to address abuse problems. Substance abuse is a serious issue, as 10% of U.S. workers misuse drugs or alcohol, impairing job performance and threatening workplace safety and security. The company aims to meet client and employee needs through effective training on this important topic.

‘Substance Abuse In The Workplace’
United American Security, LLC understands the importance of effective training
in order to meet and exceed the needs of its clients, officers, as well as the
continually rising demands of everyday work environments.
Over the next couple of months, the UAS management/ training team will be
conducting the “Substance Abuse In the Workplace” training for all site managers
and officers within the company. The training objectives will be:
 Comprehend the harmful impact of workplace substance abuse
 Understand the requirements of the law and company policy
 Identify ways in which alcohol and drugs impair job performance
 Recognize signs of substance abuse
 Take action to deal with abuse problems
The Scope of the problem:
10% of U.S. workers abuse drugs or alcohol (or both). Most substance abusers are
employed. 60% of workers know someone who has reported for work under the
influence. Anyone can be a substance abuser. Substance abuse threatens the
productivity, safety, and security of our company and employees. Working under the
influence of alcohol or drugs seriously impairs a person’s ability to perform the job well
and safely. Never ignore a substance abuse problem—take prompt action to solve it
