Studying the Phenomenon of Early Burnout of Pedagogical University Students by Liliya A Belozerova, Larisa M Zakharova, Marina M Silakova and Inna A Semikasheva* in Psychology and Psychotherapy: Research Study
The qualitative study has involved 100 novice teachers attending a two year training course in Teacher College at the Universities of Florence and Siena and has been focused on the analysis of transformative learning processes (Mezirow, 1990; 1991) occurring during the practicum within the interaction among novice and expert teachers using a narrative inquiry approach (Connelly & Clandinin, 1995).
Novice teachers have been asked to write a professional short narrative about a problematic experience in their training framed as “critical incident” (Brookfield, 1990). Narratives have been collected in order to identify transformative processes and turning points in the construction of teacher’s professional epistemology focusing on their epistemic and emotional involvement. Narratives have been processed both by statistic classification and qualitative analysis using a process of methodological and investigator triangulation.
Changes in psychological adjustment of female - MedCrave Online PublishingMedCrave
Problems of studying failure in the form of breaks and prolonged studying are increasingly taking place in contemporary research. The reason for this lies in the observations that 30% to 50% of enrolled students do not finish studies and at the same time three quarters of them break studying during the first two years of study.

Influential Determinants of Capacity Building to Cope With Stress among Unive...iosrjce
This study is a survey to find out the influential determinants of capacity building to cope with stress
among university students. Descriptive survey research design was employed for the study while self-structured
modified questionnaire was used to elicit information from the respondents. A total of nine hundred and five
(905) respondents participated in the study forming the sample size for the study. The statistical tools used for
the study includes; percentage counts, frequency, mean, regression analysis, spearman rank andMann-Whitney
U test. The statistical results of the multiple regression analysis showed that the predictors (age, sex, religion,
college, family financial status and academic performance) had 92% (adjR
2=.092, F(7,896)=14.02, P=.000,
P<0.05) joint contribution in the dependent variable (perceived ability to cope with stress). The linear
regression analysis showed that only age (β=-.112, p=.001), sex (β=.124, p=.000), religion (β=.084, p=.009),
college (β=-.088, p=.007) and academic performance (β=.249, p=.000) had significant relative contribution to
the dependent variable. The Mann-Whitney U results showed that there is significant difference in the perceived
ability to cope with stress between both male and female (H=84552, Z=-3.78, p=.000). The result of the
findings revealed that age, sex, religion, college of study, academic performance could significantly predict
perceived ability to cope with stress. And also showed that the way male and female perceived their abilities to

A Study of Organizational Role Stress among Senior Secondary School Teachers ...ijtsrd
Education is a process of human enlightenment and empowerment that aims to improve people’s lives. A sound and effective educational system develops the learners’ abilities, improves their skills, and changes their interests, attitudes, and values. Education at the primary stage plays a significant role in nation building and its growth and development. In the entire process, teachers play an important role in education, particularly in the lives of the students they teach in the classroom. A teacher’s capacity to teach students have a positive influence on them and are rightly regarded as agents of change. In general, a teacher’s role in education extends beyond teaching. Teaching takes on many forms in today’s environment, and a teacher has to play the roles of external parent, counsellor, mentor, role model, and so on. With the educational system constantly undergoing radical transformations. Teachers’ stress levels are expected to rise rather than fall as a result of these adjustments. Teachers are more stressed than students because of the demanding environment they are in. Overcrowded classrooms, a rigorous curriculum, and inadequate facilities make teachers’ work more difficult. The educational system contains all of the stressors a bureaucratic framework, ongoing review of processes and outcomes, and more intense interpersonal relationships with children, parents, colleagues, principals, and the community. As a result, teaching is now regarded as a high stress profession. How are Love, Loneliness, and Health Related?_Crimson PublishersCrimsonpublishersPPrs
Love and loneliness are not thought of as relating to each other, but under some circumstances, they do. This article reviews the concepts of intimacy and love. It explores what each of these concepts are, and the positive effects that love has on us psychologically, emotionally and physically. We describe what happens when love wanes, the impact it has on our romantic union, what are the causes for its disappearance and how loneliness may, thus, become an integral part of the relationship.
Parenting Styles, Academic Achievement and the Influence of Culture | Crimson...CrimsonpublishersPPrs
There is robust evidence on the influence of parenting styles on children and adolescents academic achievement. Based on Baumrind’s model of parenting styles, the majority of studies conclude that the authoritative parenting style is the most efficient to enhance academic achievement, in contrast to authoritarian and permissive parenting styles that are most commonly associated with academic achievement in a negative direction. However, there is an important line of research that indicates that culture plays a crucial role in the relation between parenting and academic success and that Baumrind´s model may not always fit the parenting styles observed in non-western societies.

Learning Objectives:
Describe the structure and function of taste buds.
Describe the relationship between the taste threshold and taste index of common substances.
Explain the chemical basis and signal transduction of taste perception for each type of primary taste sensation.
Recognize different abnormalities of taste perception and their causes.
Key Topics:
Significance of Taste Sensation:
Differentiation between pleasant and harmful food
Influence on behavior
Selection of food based on metabolic needs
Receptors of Taste:
Taste buds on the tongue
Influence of sense of smell, texture of food, and pain stimulation (e.g., by pepper)
Primary and Secondary Taste Sensations:
Primary taste sensations: Sweet, Sour, Salty, Bitter, Umami
Chemical basis and signal transduction mechanisms for each taste
Taste Threshold and Index:
Taste threshold values for Sweet (sucrose), Salty (NaCl), Sour (HCl), and Bitter (Quinine)
Taste index relationship: Inversely proportional to taste threshold
Taste Blindness:
Inability to taste certain substances, particularly thiourea compounds
Example: Phenylthiocarbamide
Structure and Function of Taste Buds:
Composition: Epithelial cells, Sustentacular/Supporting cells, Taste cells, Basal cells
Features: Taste pores, Taste hairs/microvilli, and Taste nerve fibers
Location of Taste Buds:
Found in papillae of the tongue (Fungiform, Circumvallate, Foliate)
Also present on the palate, tonsillar pillars, epiglottis, and proximal esophagus
Mechanism of Taste Stimulation:
Interaction of taste substances with receptors on microvilli
Signal transduction pathways for Umami, Sweet, Bitter, Sour, and Salty tastes

Degeneration of taste buds if the sensory nerve fiber is cut
Abnormalities of Taste Detection:
Conditions: Ageusia, Hypogeusia, Dysgeusia (parageusia)
Causes: Nerve damage, neurological disorders, infections, poor oral hygiene, adverse drug effects, deficiencies, aging, tobacco use, altered neurotransmitter levels
Neurotransmitters and Taste Threshold:
Effects of serotonin (5-HT) and norepinephrine (NE) on taste sensitivity
Supertasters:
25% of the population with heightened sensitivity to taste, especially bitterness
Increased number of fungiform papillae
Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), or beverage alcohol, is a two-carbon alcohol
that is rapidly distributed in the body and brain. Ethanol alters many
neurochemical systems and has rewarding and addictive properties. It
is the oldest recreational drug and likely contributes to more morbidity,
mortality, and public health costs than all illicit drugs combined. The
5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.
