This study investigates students' experiences with online English for Specific Purposes (ESP) learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, highlighting their challenges in reaching learning objectives and adapting to various teaching methods. Findings indicate that while students from different departments approached ESP learning differently, they collectively faced issues of burnout and dissatisfaction, with a perceived gap between expectations and actual learning outcomes. The research underscores the necessity to rethink online ESP course designs and enhance instructor professional development for improved future learning experiences.
