This document proposes a student safety and attendance monitoring system using fingerprint scanning and an SOS button. The system would replace a manual attendance tracking process and RFID technology. It would allow students to mark attendance by fingerprint and provide an emergency notification feature. The system aims to automate attendance monitoring, instantly generate reports, and provide foolproof student safety in emergencies. It would use fingerprint authentication, a MySQL database, AWS IoT, and NodeMCU microcontrollers. This addresses issues with manual systems like human errors, time consumption, and lack of instant reports.

Wireless Student Attendance System using Fingerprint Sensor
Nowadays accurate personal identification is becoming more and more important. Usual means smart cards, passwords… have shown their limits. Currently fingerprint recognition is the most widely used technique for personal identification. The development of an attendance management system using biometrics is proposed. As the manual method of attendance system produced errors and taking lot of time during lecture period, an efficient and organized biometrics system for students attendance is purposed. The electronic system not only used to take attendance for the students, but a database is also mentioned to store all the information which can be manipulated further in future. Optical fingerprint sensor will make adding fingerprint detection and verification super simple.This type of verification is widely used in various aspects of life for different purposes, like in security, police identification, etc. Node MCU is used which provides the wireless communication. It also send the attendance report to PC. In this system, there are two parts, one is transmitter and another is receiver. In transmitter module, there is a Liquid Crystal Display LCD , Arduino UNO, transmitter. In receiver module, Node MCU is mainly used. The resultant message will show on LCD. In response to these challenges, a heterogeneous distributed database system was designed to declare and automate student absences in the colleges using smartphones or laptops and send absences in real-time from inside lecture halls or laboratories in departments to the college administration to generate absence reports. The system employed a client-server model to deliver services to the college and its various departments through the local area network (LAN) and the Internet. MSSQL database tables were designed and fragmented across college sites using horizontal fragmentation technology and then encrypted with the AES265 algorithm. The proposed system used private SQLite or MSSQL databases for the lecture’s Android or Windows devices. On the other hand, college administration staff used a secure website built with ASP.NET to access the MySQL database server, which contains the absence table populated from all sites. The system was protected against false absence declarations by utilizing the local server’s timing factor, allowing the lecturer only to declare absences on specific days and times. The experimental results showed high reliability and accuracy of the system and high satisfaction among the users about achieving the desired goals. The findings demonstrated a strong preference for the system among the lecturers over other systems that relied on student, biometric, and AI-based devices. At the same time, the college administration staff preferred automatic absence collection using the distributed design of the system over manual collection.

An ARMA is an Android based app that tracks a variety of student activities such as online E Book availability, real time bus monitoring, Covid 19 case information, Note alerts, college feedback, and events. The app accurately pinpoints the current position using the GPS feature, which is available on most smart phones today. The bus driver will update the bus location on the server, and students will then use GPS to locate the bus on a map. As a college information system, this software can be used. This paper explores some approaches to harnessing the IoT in teaching field. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a fast emerging system of physical sensors and connected devices, enabling an advanced information gathering, interpretation and monitoring. Smart Lab is still in need of an efficient attendance system which takes attendance in real time. Various Research papers are summarized in this paper. This paper describes the concept of development of Smart Lab which takes attendance by using RFID technology. Then it improves the efficiency of attendance taking system by analyzing the reading range of RFID system. The Smart Lab concept also monitors and controls the temperature and humidity of the computer system.

An RFID-based smart school attendance and monitoring system
In this paper, a smart attendance system for students attending school is proposed. The proposed attendance
system is based on radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to facilitate automation and convenience.
The proposed RFID attendance system (RFID-AS) should be used by school administration to ensure safety for
students, as well as for grading and evaluation purposes. After careful study, passive RFID technology is selected
to be used by the proposed system because of its reasonable cost. The main components of the system are an
RFID tag, an RFID reader, Visual Studio [eXpressApp Framework (XAF) tool], and SQL Server to compare the data
from the RFID tag with the students’ database to record attendance automatically. A graphical user interface (GUI)
is developed using Visual Studio (XAF tool) to allow parents and school faculty to log in and browse the students’
records. Students will pass the classroom door, which will have an integrated RFID reader device to read their
RFID. The paper discusses the design of the solution as well as the testing scenarios.

In today's era where almost everything is digitized, even then at the end of the day we have to come across the paperwork when it comes to document submission and verification for any process. As a result, with increased advancement in the technology, easy availability and access of data and documents is the main concern. This project is intended to develop an application based system where student data and documents will be stored on a server and create a smart profile on the basis of student data. Student can also use that data and document anywhere anytime. The main aim is to provide a common application for all parts of education. Where each necessary details and document of a student will be available on one single portal also can be accessible by other higher authorities. Additionally, evaluating the profile and clustering of students can be done for better recommendation.
The Smart Portal system will be useful in document extraction during the admission process as well as it will be used for requirement of details and document of a candidate during interview. Students can upload their data and documents on the server after registration. Then their data will be analysed by the system by evaluating and clustering. This data is retrieved using QR code scanning system or Email verification/ OTP.
THE PROPOSED IMPLEMENTATION OF RFID BASED ATTENDANCE SYSTEM
Recent trends in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) embrace several smartphone applications in a variety of educational and industrial domains in the last several years. This research focuses to solve one of the promising problems of an educational domain to take attendance smartly using the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system. Current attendance system in King Abdul-Aziz University (KAU) Saudi Arabia is partly solving the attendance problem. There are several problems in the existing attendance systems such as time-consuming, the chance of mistakes, truancy issues, no contact with parent/guardian and not efficient because of roll call as taking manual attendance. The proposed RFID based attendance system will provide robust, secure and automatic attendance. The proposed system will use modern technology and support to institutions and parents to deal with most of the problems of existing attendance systems. There are several other benefits of RFID based system such as web-based and mobile interfaces, daily absent report, an automatic SMS alert to parent/guardian, reduce administrative work, improve the ratio of attendance, economical and highly efficient. The case study method will be used as a research design. The proposed system is developed and tested in KAU Saudi Arabia. The proposed system will have both web and mobile interfaces. The web interface will need the Internet to access the proposed system and the mobile interface will use the Android platform for the testing scenarios. The user will access the system to generate customized reports to review the status of students for a particular course. It is anticipated that the proposed system will significantly improve students’ monitoring mechanisms hence enabling both parents and teachers in making appropriate decisions.

Smart surveillance systems play an important role in security today. The goal of security systems is to protect users against fires, car accidents, and
other forms of violence. The primary function of these systems is to offer security in residential areas. In today’s culture, protecting our homes is
critical. Surveillance, which ranges from private houses to large corporations, is critical in making us feel safe. There are numerous machine learning algorithms for home security systems; however, the deep learning convolutional neural network (CNN) technique outperforms the others. The
Keras, Tensorflow, Cv2, Glob, Imutils, and PIL libraries are used to train and assess the detection method. A web application is used to provide a
user-friendly environment. The flask web framework is used to construct it. The flash-mail, requests, and telegram application programming interface (API) apps are used in the alerting approach. The surveillance system tracks
abnormal activities and uses machine learning to determine if the scenario is normal or not based on the acquired image. After capturing the image, it is
compared with the existing dataset, and the model is trained using normal events. When there is an anomalous event, the model produces an output from which the mean distance for each frame is calculated.

A WIRELESS FINGERPRINT ATTENDANCE SYSTEM
In this paper we design a system which takes student attendance and the attendance records are maintained
automatically in an academic institute. Taking the attendance manually and maintaining its record till end
of year (or even beyond) is very difficult job as well as wastage of time and paper. This necessitates an
efficient system that would be fully automatic. Top level design of the system includes marking attendance
with the help of a finger-print sensor module and saving the records to a computer or server. Fingerprint sensor module and LCD screen are portable although they can also be fixed to a location for e.g. entry/ exit points. To begin with, a student needs to be registered in the finger-print sensor module. Thereafter every time the student attends a lecture he/ she will place his/her finger on the fingerprint sensor module. The
finger-print sensor module will update the attendance record in database. The student can see the notification on LCD screen.

Face Recognition Based Automated Student Attendance System
Face recognition system is very beneficial in real time applications, concentrated in security control systems. Face Detection and Recognition is a vital area in the province of validation. In this project, the Open CV based face recognition strategy has been proposed. This model integrates a camera that captures an input image, an algorithm Haar Cascade Algorithm for detecting face from an input image, identifying the face and marking the attendance in an excel sheet. The proposed system implements features such as detection of faces, extraction of the features, exposure of extracted features, analysis of students attendance, and monthly attendance report generation. Faces are recognized using advanced LBP using the database that contains images of students and is used to identify students using the captured image. Better precision is accomplished in results and the system takes into account the changes that occurs in the face over some time. In today's era where almost everything is digitized, even then at the end of the day we have to come across the paperwork when it comes to document submission and verification for any process. As a result, with increased advancement in the technology, easy availability and access of data and documents is the main concern. This project is intended to develop an application based system where student data and documents will be stored on a server and create a smart profile on the basis of student data. Student can also use that data and document anywhere anytime. The main aim is to provide a common application for all parts of education. Where each necessary details and document of a student will be available on one single portal also can be accessible by other higher authorities. Additionally, evaluating the profile and clustering of students can be done for better recommendation.
The Smart Portal system will be useful in document extraction during the admission process as well as it will be used for requirement of details and document of a candidate during interview. Students can upload their data and documents on the server after registration. Then their data will be analysed by the system by evaluating and clustering. This data is retrieved using QR code scanning system or Email verification/ OTP.
THE PROPOSED IMPLEMENTATION OF RFID BASED ATTENDANCE SYSTEM
Recent trends in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) embrace several smartphone applications in a variety of educational and industrial domains in the last several years. This research focuses to solve one of the promising problems of an educational domain to take attendance smartly using the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system. Current attendance system in King Abdul-Aziz University (KAU) Saudi Arabia is partly solving the attendance problem. There are several problems in the existing attendance systems such as time-consuming, the chance of mistakes, truancy issues, no contact with parent/guardian and not efficient because of roll call as taking manual attendance. The proposed RFID based attendance system will provide robust, secure and automatic attendance. The proposed system will use modern technology and support to institutions and parents to deal with most of the problems of existing attendance systems. There are several other benefits of RFID based system such as web-based and mobile interfaces, daily absent report, an automatic SMS alert to parent/guardian, reduce administrative work, improve the ratio of attendance, economical and highly efficient. The case study method will be used as a research design. The proposed system is developed and tested in KAU Saudi Arabia. The proposed system will have both web and mobile interfaces. The web interface will need the Internet to access the proposed system and the mobile interface will use the Android platform for the testing scenarios. The user will access the system to generate customized reports to review the status of students for a particular course. It is anticipated that the proposed system will significantly improve students’ monitoring mechanisms hence enabling both parents and teachers in making appropriate decisions.

Smart surveillance systems play an important role in security today. The goal of security systems is to protect users against fires, car accidents, and
other forms of violence. The primary function of these systems is to offer security in residential areas. In today’s culture, protecting our homes is
critical. Surveillance, which ranges from private houses to large corporations, is critical in making us feel safe. There are numerous machine learning algorithms for home security systems; however, the deep learning convolutional neural network (CNN) technique outperforms the others. The
Keras, Tensorflow, Cv2, Glob, Imutils, and PIL libraries are used to train and assess the detection method. A web application is used to provide a
user-friendly environment. The flask web framework is used to construct it. The flash-mail, requests, and telegram application programming interface (API) apps are used in the alerting approach. The surveillance system tracks
abnormal activities and uses machine learning to determine if the scenario is normal or not based on the acquired image. After capturing the image, it is
compared with the existing dataset, and the model is trained using normal events. When there is an anomalous event, the model produces an output from which the mean distance for each frame is calculated.

A WIRELESS FINGERPRINT ATTENDANCE SYSTEM
In this paper we design a system which takes student attendance and the attendance records are maintained
automatically in an academic institute. Taking the attendance manually and maintaining its record till end
of year (or even beyond) is very difficult job as well as wastage of time and paper. This necessitates an
efficient system that would be fully automatic. Top level design of the system includes marking attendance
with the help of a finger-print sensor module and saving the records to a computer or server. Fingerprint sensor module and LCD screen are portable although they can also be fixed to a location for e.g. entry/ exit points. To begin with, a student needs to be registered in the finger-print sensor module. Thereafter every time the student attends a lecture he/ she will place his/her finger on the fingerprint sensor module. The
finger-print sensor module will update the attendance record in database. The student can see the notification on LCD screen.

Face Recognition Based Automated Student Attendance System
Face recognition system is very beneficial in real time applications, concentrated in security control systems. Face Detection and Recognition is a vital area in the province of validation. In this project, the Open CV based face recognition strategy has been proposed. This model integrates a camera that captures an input image, an algorithm Haar Cascade Algorithm for detecting face from an input image, identifying the face and marking the attendance in an excel sheet. The proposed system implements features such as detection of faces, extraction of the features, exposure of extracted features, analysis of students attendance, and monthly attendance report generation. Faces are recognized using advanced LBP using the database that contains images of students and is used to identify students using the captured image. Better precision is accomplished in results and the system takes into account the changes that occurs in the face over some time. devices in mind, the biometric techniques proposed for identification should be robust and dynamic. In this
work, we propose an emerging scheme that is based on few exclusive human traits and characteristics
termed as ocular biometrics, promising utmost security and reliability. Complex iris recognition and
retinal scanning algorithms have been discussed which promises achievement of accurate results. The
performance and vast applications of these algorithms on pervasive computing devices is also addressed.

CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacks
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power System
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
