Alice Morris conducted a risk assessment for photographing students outside and on the staircase at her college. For photographing outside, the hazards identified were foot traffic and fire, with minor injury considered the worst possible outcome and an unlikely probability even without controls. For photographing on the staircase, the additional hazard of stairs was identified, again with minor injury as the worst outcome but a remote probability with controls. Alice's action plan was to take photos when no one else is around to avoid interference or danger.
