A butterfly lays eggs on a leaf, which hatch into caterpillars. The caterpillars eat constantly until they are ready to form a chrysalis. Inside the chrysalis, the caterpillar undergoes transformation and emerges as a butterfly after 5-7 days. The new butterfly crawls out and dries its wings before flying off to find food and continue the life cycle.
