Presented at DRI Members Forum, 6th March 2019 by DRI Software Engineer Stuart Kenny. An overview of DRI's Infrastructure Road Map 2018-2022 that shows how the repository is investing in the technical infrastructure to ensure the long-term stewardship of ingested collections.

o Offsite disk backup

• Difficult to estimate, depends on
o Membership growth
o Data types
• New data types could include
o Research data
o Spatial data (GIS)
o 3D models
o A/V
• Could require substantial storage increase

6. Future Needs
• Plan for hardware obsolescence and capacity
increases
o New hardware also brings increased capacity
• 2018 priority was backup system upgrades
o Existing disk storage at capacity
o Maynooth hardware failure
• Rolling replacement of out of warranty
hardware 2019 onwards
