Eddie Struckman founded Seed a Need in 2009 as a non-profit organization to promote random acts of kindness through a card system. The organization aims to spread selfless acts globally by encouraging people to help others and pass along a card prompting the recipient to do something kind for someone else. Struckman was inspired by the movie Pay It Forward and believes that every kindness, no matter how small, makes the world a better place. Seed a Need has no cost and seeks to meet people's basic human need of giving to others through simple, achievable deeds.
