DEFINATION OF STRESS
• S= P > R
• Stress is the reaction over excessive pressures which
can not be resisted at that particular time.
IMPACT OF STRESS
• 80% of modern diseases have their root in Stress.
• Long lasting stress also physically affects the brain.
According to Fred Helmstetter, (researcher at the University of
Wisconsin,U.S. After laboratory rats were tightly restrained for six hours
daily for 21 days, without food or water, the animals' hippocampus - a
brain region involved in learning and memory shrank by 3%.

• Personal( Physical stress)
• Organizational
• Intra personal ( Mental Stress)
• Social
SYMPTOMS OF STRESS
• Stress symptoms can affect your body, your thoughts and
feelings, and your behavior.

HOW TO MANAGE STRESS
• Analyze- Lifestyle, Behavior & Thinking.
• ABC:
Awareness( Symptoms, Goals etc)
Balance(Demand & Supplies),
Control(it's okay to say no )
• Self-Help- No dependency
• Swot analysis.
• Personal calendars- Time management.
STRESS IS GOOD
• Stress gifts you the fighting spirit.
• Stress can change the way you weigh risks, thus making you opt for the
safer route and focusing on that satisfaction, according to the study.
• In 2009 University at Buffalo researchers found that when rats were forced
to swim—an activity that stresses them out—they remembered their way
through mazes far better than rats that chilled out instead.
• It's important to pay attention to your stress thermometer," and to stay
below the boiling point, explains life coach Ruth Klein, author of “The De-
