There are three stock exchanges in Pakistan, with the largest being the Karachi Stock Exchange. Stocks, debentures, futures, options, and various currencies can be traded. To trade, an individual works with a stockbroker to buy or sell a specified number of shares or value of shares. There are two main types of orders - limit orders where the client sets the execution price, and market orders which are executed at the prevailing market rate.
