services to the Maricopa County Superior Court, attorneys, and private parties; legal
research, writing, and document preparation services to attorneys; appellate research
and writing for attorneys; and QDRO drafting and qualification services for the court,
attorneys, and private parties.
Maintained general law practice in California from 1977 to 1989. Conducted court and
jury trials in many areas. Practice emphasized domestic and employment law, but trial
work also included real estate, probate, and criminal matters.
Although not licensed to practice law in Arizona, Mr. Lee has “ghost” written for
Arizona attorneys a number of appellate briefs on issues related to domestic and real
estate law. On issues ranging from modification of spousal maintenance, distribution of
community property, and child support enforcement to claim preclusion, five (5) briefs
were successful on appeal and resulted in opinions establishing or confirming existing
law by the Court of Appeals or Supreme Court of Arizona.
Mr. Lee is qualified pursuant to A.R.F.L.P. Rule 72 to assist with retirement/ERISA issues
and the preparation of QUALIFIED DOMESTIC RELATIONS ORDERS (QDROS),
having spent his first year of practice (1977) amending private retirement plans to
conform to the (then) newly enacted Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974
(ERISA).
