1) This document summarizes a seminar held on May 16, 2017 at the DEIB Seminar Room about the STeEL Research Line at Politecnico di Milano. 2) The seminar was a team building event and "mini" workshop to present work done over the year by the STeEL research line. 3) The objectives of the STeEL research line are reducing energy costs through smart management and monitoring, adapting smart environments to user needs and comfort, and monitoring how indoor spaces are used.
