Kapil Baral is applying to the MBA program at Tribhuvan University. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration and wants to further his education to become an entrepreneur in Nepal. He believes an MBA will help him analyze business issues and understand organizational strategies. During his undergraduate studies, he did an internship at a bank where he learned about various banking functions and products. Kapil is determined to continue his education at TU and hopes the admission committee finds him a good fit for the MBA program.

1. Statement of Purpose
MBA at TU
Nepal is home of thousand of entrepreneurs, I want to be one of them.
Glad to introduce myself Mr. Kapil Baral. In my family my father is a government officer and
my mother is an agriculturalist. I have done school certificate from Shukraraj Higher
Secondary School, Pokhara with 72% in 2010 and higher secondary certificate with 59.4% in
2012 from Chhorepatan Higher Secondary School Pokhara. I recently done my bachelors
degree in business administration with CGPA 3.6 from Janapriya Multiple Campus, Pokhara
which was QAA certified and run BBA programme under the affiliation of Tribhuvan
University- the world wide recognized university of Nepal.
I want to do MBA program at central department of management, Tribhuvan University for
my reason. I have read about TU’s MBA program in the internet and interacted with few of
my seniors who study here and am impressed with the emphasis placed on practical
approaches, general management orientation and industry interaction.
Studying for an MBA requires a certain determination and strength of characters. In recent
years the business world has become rapidly integrated across once restricting borders and
anyone with high goals in the business would must have an international perspective and be
aware of the realities of different international areas.
I believe that master in business administration would be invaluable in helping me to
achieve my career objectives. It would enable me to channel my conceptual skill in analysing
business issue and resolve them, also would help me in understanding different issue which
affect organization strategy, structure and system.
During my bachelors degree I have done an internship at Garima Bikas Bank, renowned B-
class bank of Nepal. Where I learned function of different department of bank specially
customer service department. At that time I am familiar with various banking product
offered by bank. This internship is also helping me to gain practical knowledge about entire
banking activities and make a better relationship with banks personnel as well as clients.
This internship study is important for further study and research activities.
While the study of management is my prime objectives today, my interest in sports, music,
travel and nature help me to maintain a sense of perspective in life. I also believe that each
of us may give something to society- to this end I have worked on a voluntary basis to a local
organization in my hometown that focus on environment issue and keep city clean.
I am eager to continue my progression by enrolling in your MBA program. I hope that the
admission committee finds my background and strength for requirement of TU’s MBA
program.
