Ever since high school I have always taken leadership roles, and always proactively volunteered
to take managerial and organizational responsibilities. Thus, through various academic, extra-
curricular and community related activities, I have been subconsciously honing my
management abilities. By learning how to lead teams effectively and motivating each team-
member to perform to the best of their capabilities, I have sharpened my leadership skills. By
organizing events in college and completing all tasks within strict timelines, I have developed
my organizational abilities. I am now keen to pursue a formal degree in the field of Innovation
Management and Entrepreneurship to further sharpen my existing skill set and prepare myself
for the much more challenging managerial and entrepreneurial roles that I aspire to take on in
my future career.
Pursuing the Bachelor of Commerce, Honours degree at the University of Delhi, I have taken
several academic courses in fields of management, business studies, accounting and finance,
economics and marketing strategies. My undergraduate studies have thus given me a concrete
base for research and study in Management and other managerial courses. Apart from
academics, I have also utilized my college years to participate in extra-curricular activities that
have allowed me to lead teams and manage varied responsibilities and entrepreneurial
activities. As a senior member of the debating team of our college, I have led my team to win
debating contests at the inter-varsity level. I also helped to manage the organisation of the
Guru-Shishya Debate held at our university. My leadership skills have also helped me at the
sports field, wherein as the Vice-Captain of the Cricket team of the university, I have often
devised strategies, team-tactics and sporting plans allowing us to outsmart the competition and
win coveted sporting trophies.
I have also grabbed every opportunity to engage myself in meaningful academic projects,
learning opportunities at international universities, and industry internships to gain a pragmatic
and more holistic perspective of the field of business management. By pursuing a summer
school at London School of Economics, I interacted with business students from all parts of
world and worked collaboratively with them to complete academic assignments and projects.
This stint gave my managerial learning a much needed international perspective.
In 2015, I pursued a summer internship with a telecommunications company where I assisted
the managerial team in formulating new advertising plans to help grow the flagship brand and
make innovative changes in the marketing strategy for the brand. The subsequent summer I
worked with another reputed business organization where I worked with clients and team
managers to find novel solutions for their business problems. The most rewarding of my
internships was during the summer of.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

1. Statement of Purpose (SOP)
Studying for an MBA requires a certain determination and strength of character. In recent years,
the business world has become rapidly integrated across once restricting borders, and anyone with
high goals in the business world must have an international perspective and be aware of the realities
of different international arenas. It is fortunate for me to have a diverse background both
academically and professionally which has exposed me to different continents, peoples, cultures,
and languages. As a citizen of Bangladesh, I am familiar with the increasingly important markets
of this region, and as such, I am thoroughly prepared for the demands and challenges presented by
undertaking study in the MBA program at your renowned institution.
From a young age, I set goals beyond those of my peers. I decided to pursue a Bachelor’s degree
in Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Daffodil International University (DIU). I also
took my major in Marketing and Human Resource Management. My undergraduate coursework
at Daffodil International University focused on management, marketing, finance, entrepreneurship
accounting, and various fields. Since I have obtained the highest CGPA (3.93 out of 4.00) in my
department, I was offered to take a duel major after successfully completing seven semesters.
Therefore, I took this opportunity and did my first major in Marketing where I proved my abilities
in all Marketing branches. Besides, I had a high interest in Human Resource Management to know
a broad perspective about the human and how to make them knowledgeable, skillful, and capable
of doing a job effectively as well as efficiently which can provide value in an organization. This
also inspired me to take Human Resource Management as my second major. Due to the experience
of the instructors and the overall sophistication of the program, I received an incredibly valuable
learning experience, beyond that which I could have received elsewhere. I received a broad
business-based education while immersing myself during my studies at Daffodil International
University. As a result, I am highly confident in my abilities to adapt to your environment and
eager to join your MBA program.
After completing my academic courses I worked four months as a Human Resource Assistant in
an export-oriented organization. Additionally, I have also been involved with the teaching
profession for almost five years in my own Private Coaching Center named “Land Of Learning”
I have a huge number of secondary and higher secondary level students along with some bachelor
students. Since I love teaching profession and this makes me stay and continue my works on it.
2. During my study at Daffodil International University, I worked with one of our Ph.D. faculty and
got a chance to work with him in some research projects. I worked as a data collector along with
input those data on SPSS. Besides, I attended two International programs which are Youth
Exchange Program in Sri Lanka and International Social Business Program in India. I was also an
organizer of different programs at my University and an active member of the Daffodil Business
Club.
Therefore, after careful consideration, I decided that further study in an MBA program would be
not only useful but perhaps essential in developing my career potential and providing me with
greater opportunities for future success.
My career path has led me to the rapidly developing markets of my country in Asia. Now, I feel
that the next logical destination on my path is your MBA program. The field and curriculum of
your MBA program is similar to that which I studied previously, yet it is much more challenging
and will allow me to develop my abilities further. I already have a strong background in various
aspects of business, from marketing and management to accounting and sales. Because of this, I
feel I am uniquely qualified to study at your MBA program.
After completion of my studies, I plan to return to my country and apply what I learn in your
program to the benefit of my country. After completing my MBA, I would expect to have
developed a successful career that I can be proud of. I believe that my past shows a steady yet
rapid progression through the business world, and I am eager to continue that progression by
enrolling in your MBA program.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Regards,
