The provision of window screening has a two sided effect with both privacy and sun screening to offices which ultimately increases building performance. “Sporting hundreds of vertical blades to 3 full levels, the USQ EDGY building demands respect in both looks & performance” The 617mm wide Caprice Series® aluminium blades were designed, manufactured and installed by the Louvreclad team who worked around the clock to get the project completed on time. Something dynamic and modern which would suit the aesthetics of their new freight depot. Louvreclad worked along side the team to come up with a cost effective solution which complimented the existing architecture and provided sun screening to the inside offices. “a cost effective solution which complimented the existing architecture” Using the Sheraton (75mm depth) and Caprice Series® (45mm depth) enabled the design to be completely architectural, as this range can be installed vertically, horizontally and on any angle without losing any of their high strength properties. The project incorporates both fixed and sliding screens with manual locking devices while also including both vertical and horizontal screens which were powder coated to the architects specifications. Project Centenary SHS Location 1 Moolanda St, Jindalee QLD Builder Astute Projects Architect Opus Finishes Clear Anodised Aluminium Brief Nothing is more satisfying than completing a project and getting even better results than anticipated. Centenary State High School were ecstatic with the finished look of the new GLA building. “This provided maximum window screening whilst the clear anodised finish enhances the building exterior” Using both the Caprice and the Bentley Series® together meant each section could span whatever width was required. Two banks of 1200mm x 1400mm exactly matched to the windows and ran both sides of the building. Project One One One Eagle Street Location 111 Eagle Street - Brisbane, QLD Builder Leighton Contractors Architect Cox Rayner Finishes Interpon D2010 Sable® Black powder coated aluminium Brief Louvreclad worked with Cox Rayner Architects over a six month period to meet the parameters of Council requirements while still delivering the original design. A stunning crown to a magnificent skyscraper design. By day it features like a beacon and by night it provides a beautiful light show to Brisbane’s skyline. “A stunning crown to a magnificent skyscraper design” The louvre cladding surrounding the building’s rooftop plant equipment was required to include an incredible 80 percent free open area with zero vision. This was made possible using the Altura Series® To achieve this, Louvreclad developed a simple but sophisticated solution exclusively for this project, using 100 lineal metres of 10 metre high ventilated cladding, and managed the project seamlessly from design through to installation. The logistics of installation proved to be a slight challenge but was dealt with very efficiently by making sure every single panel was numbered to ensure on-site installation went as smoothly as possible. “Custom perforations allow for complete design control & the result was a high impact, high performance finish” Although the initial concept of an embossed finish wasn’t achievable, Louvreclad was able to achieve the exact likeness with the Polaris Series® perforated metal panels. Something dynamic and modern which would suit the aesthetics of their new freight depot. Centenary State High School were ecstatic with the finished look of the new GLA building. “This provided maximum window screening whilst the clear anodised finish enhances the building exterior” Using both the Caprice and the Bentley Series® together meant each section could span whatever width was required. Two banks of 1200mm x 1400mm exactly matched to the windows and ran both sides of the building. A stunning crown to a magnificent skyscraper design.
