This document provides an overview and instructions for teachers to access and use Naviance, an online college and career planning tool. Key points: - Naviance allows teachers, students, and parents to support post-high school planning. Teachers can access student information and college/career plans. - Students will continue to request letters of recommendation in person, then send electronic requests through Naviance. Teachers upload letters and recommendation forms, marking them complete when finished. - The document provides a link and login instructions for teachers to access Naviance. It outlines the features and where to find student information, recommendation requests, and upload completed forms. - Training for juniors on additional Naviance features will take place

2. Welcome to Naviance!
 Naviance is a web-based resource for
staff, students, and parents that
encourages and supports post high
school career and college planning.
 As teachers you will have access to basic
student information, assessment
results, and college and career plans.

3. Student Recommendations
 Students will continue to request letters of
recommendation in person
 Once you have agreed, students will send
you an electronic request on Naviance and
email alert
 Upload your letter of recommendation and
complete the Common Application Teacher
Evaluation Form
 Once you mark your recommendation as
“Complete”, School Counseling can send it
electronically with student applications

4. Accessing Naviance
 A link is now available on Parkside High
School’s Xia Links
 You can also access the login page
directly with the following link:
 https://succeed.naviance.com/signin.php
 Account = Parkside
 User Name = FirstInitialLastName
 (Example: John Smith = JSmith)
 Password: Emailed to you with a request
to change

5. Sign in here with your username and password. Your
temporary password has been emailed to you. You will be
instructed to change this after your first time logging in.
