St. Louise de Marillac was born in 1591 and died in 1660. She was canonized in 1934 and her feast day is celebrated on March 15. She is the patroness of social workers and co-founded the Daughters of Charity with St. Vincent de Paul to help serve the poor and sick.

2. St. Louise de Marillac St. Louise was born August 12, 1591, and died March 11,1660. St. Louise was canonized on March 11, 1934. Her feast day is celebrated on March 15. St. Louise was patroness of social workers.

3. St.Louise de Marillac St. Louise founded the Daughters of Charity. Her mother died when she was a child and her father remarried. This was difficult for her, so she was sent to live with an aunt who was a religious nun. St. Louise was important to us along with St. Vincent de Paul. St. Louise co-founded with St. Vincent de Paul, the Sisters of Charity – a small group of nuns.
