Her Majesty Queen Sirikit was born in 1927 in Thailand to aristocratic parents. She married King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1950 and became Queen of Thailand. As a young royal, she accompanied King Prajadhipok after he resigned from the throne and returned with her family to Thailand at age 2. As Queen, she was known for her charitable works and dedication to the Thai people.
