English school students describe their typical school day: They begin each day at 8:55 am with registration and morning assembly. Their first lesson starts at 9:30 am and lasts an hour, typically focusing on literacy or numeracy subjects. Students have a morning break from 10:20-10:35 am. Lunch is from 12 noon to 1:10 pm, where most children bring a packed lunch from home consisting of sandwiches, fruit, drinks, and crisps. In the afternoons, students have lessons in various subjects like science, history, art, crafts, and computers. After school, many students participate in sports like netball, gymnastics, and tennis.

(English) or Numeracy (Mathematics).

6. Break Time (Recess)
The children have their morning break from
10:20 till 10:35 am.

7. Lunch time
is from 12 noon to 1:10 pm.
Most children bring their own packed lunch
from home. A packed lunch usually consists
of sandwiches, fruit, a drink and a packet
of crisps. Some children will have a school
dinner cooked in our school kitchen.
