⢠In football, a player lying beneath the wall is now a common sight. This
extra protection apparently first became commonplace in Brazil, to
counteract the low free-kicks of players like Ronaldinho.
⢠But a few years back, an Inter Milan player became an instant talking
point, when he slid across to save a below-the-wall free-kick in a
Championsâ League match.
⢠Due to the nature of the defence, the player gave it an animalâs name,
and also wore the animal costume as his Halloween wear. A mock ad for
a sample perfume launched by Inter, says âis a predator like no other. It
can camouflage itself, itâs unpredictable and ruthless. It moves silently and
creeps up on you. Water is its element.â
⢠What animalâs name did the player give the defence?

in a certain ball sport, where players were using different types of
materials on different sides of the playing equipment to alter the

⢠This response by white against the Sicilian defense is known as XY
attack. While a lot of people think that the attack gets its name from
the fast development of Whiteâs pieces, it has more to do with the
fact that the attack was popularized by a chess format in Britain in
1980s. The tournaments were called XY style tournaments as they
involved weekly matches with points being added over the weeks to
eventually declare a winner.
⢠The phrase XY is synonymous with a different breed of sports
altogether and can be traced to an early 20th century event organized
by the Count of Dion. The reward of the said event was an epic
45,000 Francs, roughly 13 kg of gold at the time.

to the Poaceae family. In fertile soil, it produces a high grass yield,
but the USP of this grass is that it is a very resilient species, and can

⢠For this purpose, many homeowners and public areas overseed
lawns in the colder areas of the world with the winter ryegrass,
which prevents the grass from dying when temperatures are low.
