10 A chess gamecomprises of three parts - opening, middlegame and endgame. Opening refers to a position that has already been explored by chess theoreticians, grandmasters, or computers. It refers to a set of established moves and explores why these moves are made. Though beginners are advised to go through opening theory, these theories are often criticised for making the game monotonous and for quick draws. To counter the earlier theory, a new variant i.e., Chess960, or Fischer Random was invented by the late World Champion Bobby Fischer. In this variant the rules of the game are the same as standard chess but there is a small change. This change makes gaining an advantage through the memorization of openings impracticable and players have to rely on their skill to win the match. ID the change.

3 To overcome atie result in football, FIFA introduced a rule saying that if a team scores a goal in extra time, it will be counted as two goals. This was done to reduce the matches resulting in boring penalty shootouts. In 1994, in a match between Grenada and Barbados, Barbados had to win the match by a goal difference of 2 to qualify for finals. In the match, Barbados gained a one goal lead but found it difficult to score the second. To battle that, they came up with a weird strategy and implemented it in the game. And when Grenada came to know to about their strategy, they countered Barbados in an equally weird way. This left the match in a highly unusual position with all players seemingly chucking out one clear essence of the game. What strategies did both teams employ that such a chaotic match happened?
• 66.
Answer Barbados scored anown goal to proceed to extra time so as to get the two goal advantage easily in extra time. Grenada then tried to score in either goal so that match does not go to extra time. Hence, Grenada was attacking on both sides and Barbados was defending both sides.

8 (Image follows) When theU.S. government permanently banned cigarette advertisements in 1970 from televisions, only Marlboro became even more successful and became the largest cigarette manufacturer in the world. This success of Marlboro is mostly attributed to its “Subliminal advertising which is a marketing technique in which a brand is so well-known and powerful that a consumer can be reminded of it by subtle prompts, but without actually seeing the product itself."
